Since our founding in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, the Knights of Columbus has been in solidarity with the Catholic Church, the Holy Father and the bishops, priests, and religious in union with him. We have been oriented around a Catholic parish from the beginning, and it is in the thousands of Catholic parishes where the good works of the Knights of Columbus are manifest. Support for the Catholic Church is the hallmark of the Knights of Columbus activity at all levels of our order.
The Church Activities Program seek to support our members and their families with church activities that express our unity in our faith, our devotion to our Church, and our support of those who serve in the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life.
MARY, QUEEN OF THE KNIGHTS
Our Lady, Queen of the Knights, bless all the activities of our order. Keep us true to the pledge to extend the kingship of thy Divine Son on earth. Through thine intercession, win for us the grace ever to exemplify in our public and private lives, the virtues which should characterize those specially dedicated to the service of the heavenly court. Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed, our faith judged and our Order appreciated. Accept, O Mary, this renewed pledge of fealty and devotion of thy servants, the Knights of Columbus. Amen.
PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
O God, who wishes all men to be saved, touch with grace the hearts of many young men and women, moving them to offer themselves as candidates for the priesthood and religious life. Inspire fathers and mothers and all members of the Christian families to become aware of the great need for religious vocations. Endow all people with reverence for these sacred callings that they may encourage many to serve God and mankind in the ranks of religion. These blessings we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
